Group Visit Request

More information about group visits is available here.

Use the calendar to choose your desired date for your group's visit. Afterward, we'll get in touch to confirm. Please be aware that this step is simply a request—we will contact you to confirm the visit date and other details.

We ask that you submit your request at least two (2) weeks prior to your desired visit date. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, due to other campus events and staffing limitations, we may need to consider alternate dates.

Group visits at Butler are available for sponsored school groups and educational organizations only, with the following stipulations:

  • All students in the group must be in grade levels 8–12
  • Strict limit of 40 students (not including chaperones) for any one visit.

If you have any questions, please email groupvisit@butler.edu. We look forward to hosting your group on our campus!

Chaperone Requirements

Per ACA standards for working with minors, Butler strictly enforces the following requirements for adult-minor chaperone ratios. We ask that you plan accordingly when scheduling your visit.

  • Youth 8th–12th grade: 1 adult per every 10 students ("youth" are defined as anyone under the age of 18).
Please also be aware that we expect all chaperones will be able and willing to participate in all activities during the visit.

Visit Preparation

Campus tours will include a substantial amount of walking. Please encourage all participants to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Arriving on time is important. In the event that your group is running late, call our office at 317-940-8121 so that we can adjust accordingly. We reserve the right to modify and/or shorten your presentation or campus tour.

Cancellation Notice

If you must cancel your visit, we ask that you give at least two days notice. Failure to do so may limit future availability for your group. Please contact groupvisit@butler.edu to cancel your visit or request other adjustments.
